think florida will get hit with anymore storms?

are these carribean hurricanes more to hit somwhere else in the gulf?

There's a lot of warm water down in the Caribbean still. Yesterday we went over 90* here and the bugs came out. The hot sun yesterday was enough to maintain the Gulf SST's for now. A convection thunderstorm broke out.

Last year, while Odette and the J storm spun up from the Caribbean towards the Antilles, we had no west Caribbean threats into the GOM. By strict odds this means this year has more possibility by that alone. Also, climatology dictates that an active Florida season is normally followed through by another storm or two in the west Atlantic basin...

i don't know about anymore for florida, but if you take a look at the latest goes atlantic IR loops something is trying to spin up at 80W 15N (can someone with more met experience expound on what exactly is going on there in the carib.)
