Brein that is a shortwave trough in the GOM but the shear is very strong 90-100kts and that is not favorable for anything to develop but still is a blob with deep convection. We have to see if shear lessons and conditions become more favorable but right now nothing suggests that.

The Nogaps model shows that area moving NE into northern Florida and then into the atlantic but not develps it but we may have to wait to see if more future runs from this and other models do more than what they show now.

Let's wait for the 2:05 PM EDT discussion from TPC to see how they mention that area if it is a shortwave trough or they mention something else and how is the shear in the GOM that is still strong 90-100kts or if by the time of the discussion it fades somewhat.

The Blobs........Wasn't Steve McQueen in that? They froze it on top of the diner and airlifted it to the frozen tundra :o Yeah the convection started to show this morning. This feature (upper level) is forecast by the local mets in Melbourne FL to move across the FL peninsula and hook up with developing low pressure along the east coast. Expected increase in winds and seas toward the end of the week with increasing rain chances. Things dry out on Sunday again. First good spring blowup of convection. 8)
