Looking Forward To Learning
Being in the Midwest, (Nebraska) we do not have too much contact with Hurricanes. I am really looking forward to following this forum as the season hits.
Since I have no Tornadoes in my area to watch this year, this is going to be interesting.
Thanks in advance!
-Jeff

You will be informed here with plenty of information about the tropics that will be busy this season.

Be careful Jeff, hurricanes can be addicting The symptoms of hurricane addiction are:
1. High anxiety about the date of June 1st.
2. Extreme depression on Novermber 30th.
3. Difficulty sleeping between #1 and #2
4. Intense desire to pick your children's names from NOAA's list.
5. Eyeballs that rotate in a counterclockwise direction.
Have fun this year! If you have any question please ask! That's how we all got started with our addiction!

LOL! Before weather message boards even existed, my sister and I always celebrated June 1st.
We were the only "hurricane freaks" we knew then.

Oh yes, before (March 1999) I had internet access, I used to exclusively get the latest advisories from The Weather Channel and my NOAA Weather Radio-- plotting the latitude and longitude points from the maps in my atlas.
I am also looking forward to the discussions we will have here at Storm2K with the tropics, still other weather topics and off-topic as well.
