This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Link to 15 min. satellite updates?

#1 Postby TreasureIslandFLGal » Fri Jul 08, 2005 8:38 am

I saw a post a few days ago referring to a site that shows satellite updates every 15 minutes instead of every 30 minutes that are part of the "floater" on the NHC site. Could someone please give me the link to that?

-And if there is a link to the 15+ spaghetti run model map (a freebie) that would be much appreciated too!

Thanks guys! This site rocks! :ggreen:

Yes, on the MSFC site, the updates are roughly every 5-10 minutes during the RSO, except between 0245 and 0315, 0545 to 0615, 1145 to 1215, 1445 to 1515, 1745 to 1815, 2045 to 2115 and 2345 to 0015. At these periods, GOES does a full disk scan and it takes a half hour for recovery, which means that the 5-10 minute updates resume after the xx15z time frame.
