Where's Cantore so we can rule that area out?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Seriously....

Does the low dropping out of LA cause a more NW or N movement? It seems to me that a strong high to the east a low to the west creates a helluva steering current..... they should have this path nailed down shortly.

Pensacola. I think he's going to be in the eye or the eyewall. Arlene went directly overhead when he was there.

Alright..... so it's going to hit either Destin or Mobile. Cantore is never on the spot for the big storms.

The trough developing in the western gulf and over Louisiana has developed a SW flow, and it is affecting the upper-level winds in that direction. This, in concert with the high over the Florida peninsula and it's clockwise rotation will work to "funnel" Dennis into the Alabama/Florida line... somewhere in that area. It's actually setting up quite nicely to give us a track that we can all rely on.
