WNW or even due west.

15 loop at fast speed.

IR and Water vapor loops looks like it is heading west..

Looking at the Mebourne radar, she looks almost stationary to me.

Yep.

The other thing I note on radar is that a bit more convection is wrapping around the south side of the eye. Still looks open to the SE, but maybe the shear on the south side of the system is starting to ease a bit.

I have a questions. In order for Ophelia to go east wouldn't Nate have to move quickly? Also, since Nate is behind Ophelia wouldn't the outflow push her more westward?

I believe what we actually witnessed was the convection as it wrapped and built on the west side of Ophelia it acted to pull her ever so slightly to the west, but she has become stationary over the last couple of hours.

Just like a woman, Can't make up her mind where she's going. Katrina was the same way. Why is it that here lately all the female named storms seem to be so undecided early on and all the male named storms march right on toward where they were headed? :D

I done threw down the hatchett with this one! LOL!

Well, for a female storm, Emily was pretty dogged and relentless.
