OH man... very nice home too.
Don't just take their word for it... if you're in the path of this monster... GET OUT.

And you can't really tell in this photo, but the house to the right is severely tilted now and ready to tumble down; it's completely gutted, and a total loss also.
Also, after days of searching over miles of area, we were never able to find anything recognizable as the the house itself. A few pieces of the siding, and a spiral staircase and that's it. The house itself vanished.

Yep. Well, we did find a piece or two of that ugly wall color.

Yes, as were at least 10 others in that immediate area--down to nothing but slabs. We found the slightly intact third story of another nearby house, across a four-lane divided highway and up a block.
This first picture is of the house on the right, as seen from standing on our friend's slab. The second picture is of the neighborhood he lived in.

Pal's house: approximately 1000 or so feet from the beach, fourth house from the beach.
Neighborhood: encompasses a length of about two blocks, running perpendicular to the beach at the St. Louis Bay.
But I can show you homes well inland that sustained quite a bit of damage, like this one. The point is, don't play around and get out.
