Question for professional mets or anyone who knows-Wind Rose

where I can get that type of information (wind rose) for a certain area? I have checked witht he local noaa/nws office and they gave me a few things like avg direction and speed and max peak gusts. Is this all the information involved in a wind rose? I am looking at it for Mobile, Al. Thanks.

There is a link at the top which will give you wind roses for many locations across the US for the years 1961-1990. There is also good information about what a wind rose is and how to read it.

I had a customer ask me for a wind rose for Pascagoula, MS just yesterday and found an EPA web site with lots of them:

The EPA site or your state department of environmental quality is the best place to find a wind rose. Those two agencies use that info to issue air permits for chemical plants
