It's fine here... must be your cable company. I've had channels go out from time to time.

Maybe hurricanedude means storm stories in place of the usual weather updates is considered the weather channel being off the air. :cheesy:

I agree, they should definately have one channel for the weather and a separate one for the shows. I can't stand it when I tune in and can't get weather information.

I would like to see in the future one channel dedicated 24/7 only to Tropical Weather.

Okay, and what do they do for the six months with no tropical weather?

Tropical weather does no rest around the world as after november 30th,the Southern Hemisphere systems start to pop up.

OK, well there is the problem...not many people in the United States (where I'm assuming this channel would be located) are interested in Southern Hemisphere weather.

As someone already said, Other tropic weather worldwide. People do watch this but not as many.

Yes, I understand that people watch this...however:

The question still remains: Would enough people watch it to support a television channel?

It would still be pertinent to people in the Southern Hemisphere who might be affected by these systems, but then I don't know if it's beamed around the world. In any case it could be useful.

When the Atlantic season ends, then the channel can cover the Southern Hemisphere cyclones, but also to discuss about el nino/la nina, and other factors that influence on tropical weather and explain them in a manner the audience can understand.

I am dreaming right? :)

Sounds like a good idea. During the "off" season, they could focus on tropical weather in the southern hemisphere AND add in winter weather coverage in the US.

plus as cycloneye stated, go over terms for tropical events so people could better understand them...during the spring they could cover severe wx events and tropics at the same time...
