Thoughts from my 10-year-old daughter

#1 Postby becca1695 » Wed Aug 31, 2005 10:16 am

My 10-year-old daughter asked me last night "Why can't they fill up the 'bowl' of New Orleans with dirt so that the city is higher than the surrounding waters and rebuild everything?"

Well... we discussed about how many mountains it would take to do that (too many) but I thought it was an interesting question from someone who is very concerned about the people who have lost their houses, workplaces, schools, and friends (and lives).
