Thank the lord that the media has been there and been able to broadcast. There is no way that we'd be seeing anywhere near the federal and private response without them. Not to mention how many people evacuated because of all the media coverage.

The pictures tell the stories that those directly affected had no way of telling to such a huge "audience" who is thankfully stepping up to help. And in the long run, I believe that all of the media documentation will lead to an improved response to future disasters of all types.
