All from the tropics board who are complaining about this slow season should come over here and look at that photo.

FEMA's new proposed flood levels still do not take into account a storm surge like Katrina.... Understandable so, as per the pundants this is a "once in a lifetime" event... I had 25-26 feet of storm surge from Katrina and my yard is 17.5 feet above MSL... per the new FEMA advisory flood proposals all I would need to be is 18 feet above MSL... per the new City of Biloxi's flood level requirements all I need to be is 16 feet above MSL... neither would protect me from another Katrina or Camille type surge... so I can use their requirements for rebuilding and worry the rest of my life that my house will be destroyed by another surge... or I can go up higher than the Katrina surge... duh... 28 feet above MSL seems like a nice number...
