Katrina, One Year Later...The Children of New Orleans' Essay

#1 Postby Sean in New Orleans » Mon Aug 28, 2006 11:23 pm

August 29, 2006..The one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. We all know the entire story, but do you know the scars? There are so many. It is only appropriate to take a moment, on this day, and think of those that are still suffering...in so many ways. Many don't even share their suffering, but, to reflect on the devastating event that happened one year ago along the Gulf Coast in our country, I thought it would be appropriate to share the thoughts of those that hold the future of America and experienced this tragedy...in the words of the children. Here are the winners of the Children's Katrina Essay Contest, announced just this evening, August, 28, 2006. I'm providing links to the essays.

Thanks Sean. After reading those stories.......I think I'll skip my trip to The Beau today and just spend a quiet day at home.
