Is it normal for the floater sat pics to be 2 hours old?
Mine's not. The latest image should be 12:45z.....30 minutes old.
I think the current UTC is 14:30, while the latest image is 12:45, wouldn't that be almost 2 hours old
Just wondering about the lag time, sorry if it's a stupid question

Actually, it was 13:30Z when you posted that. Images are shot at 15 and 45 after the hour and take a little extra time to process and get onto the web. Therefore, the 12:45Z image was the current at the 13:15Z will arrive around 13:20-30-ish

I think you might have your UTC messed up there...if I'm understanding your question.
It is now about 8:40 Central time US--and about 13:40 GMT.

Images on the SSD floaters at the NHC update every half hour (I think), so they can have some lag.

For clickable close up animations of areas of interest. Latest image there was 13:15Z.
