Why many times there are two forecasters writing a TWO?

Is a interesting question that I have and maybe any pro met can chim in and answer.I haved seen many Tropical Weather Outlooks that dont have any system to talk about and there are two forecasters doing it.

While I'm not certain (I don't work there), I will give this guess (because in every weather shop I've been in, this is what we've done): the first name is the author, the second name performed quality control. By having that second person proofreading and giving the TWO a "sanity check," you're reducing the likelihood for errors.

Also, it may be a second opinion. "Hey Bob, do you agree with this?" "Yup, I concur."

I don't know for sure, but I bet this has something to do with ISO standards.

not sure, but it could be a trainer/trainee situation.
