the sat pictures are all in "UTC" what does "UTC stand for and how do i adjust for real time on the florida east coast?

UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time. The UTC is actually the time on the Greenwhich meridian. The observatory in Greenwhich is where they keep the time. The correction you will need to make depends upon your time zone. For your location in Florida add 5 hours when on EST (Eastern Standard Time) . Since we are on EDT(Eastern Daylight Time) now, you will need to add only 4 hours to your time in Florida to find the UTC. So if it is 7:00 PM in Florida, you need to add 4 hours to get UTC. That is 11:00 PM. Since UTC is on the twenty four hour scale, the UTC would be 2300 hours.

The thing to remember is to add 5 hours to your Florida time in the winter and 4 hours in the summer in order to get the UTC. Then put the time you get on the 24 hour scale and your right on time.

UTC is used a lot in weather. Personally, my rule of thumb during daylight time (adjusted since you live on the E Coast), is 0Z=8:00 PM, 12Z=8:00 AM, 18Z=2:00 PM, 6Z=2:00 AM. Minus an hour for Standard time. Everything else, just do math. It goes from 0-23 and then starts back at 0. But be aware - 0Z Sun Aug 27 (which was 10 minutes ago), is the same as 8:00 PM Sat Aug 26. The time we're used to begins a new day at midnight. UTC begins a new day at 8:00 PM.
