A few questions about this intriguing hurricane

1.) How wide was the eye?

2.) what exactly was it when it made landfall in Newfoundland? A hurricane or EXT?

3.) how long did it take to transit the island

4.) did all of newfoundland get some sorteffect from it?

5.) what time did it make landfall?

6.) did its remnants affect Europe?

Hi:

I think the NHC report answers some of your questions, but you probably know about it already....

From a quick read, it was definitely extratropical at landfall. Not sure I can help beyond what is offered in the report!

CHC declared it to be a hurricane at landfall and the ET transition occurred after landfall.

Usually, I yield to CHC for Canadian systems, since they focus more on storms undergoing ET transition
