I'm new to this. Is there a weblink where one can get information on weather that is forming but that is not yet an invest or td? For example if I look at the weather map refered to below (please see link below) I see many areas of interest but the only ones being discussed in the forums are "trop dep 8" and "humberto". What about the area of intrest around Trinidat and Tobago and around the Panama area.
I appreciate your responses.http://www.weather.com/maps/maptype/satelliteworld/tropicalatlanticsatellite_large_animated.html

I was afraid that this may be a stupid question...the # of replies removed my doubt :D

I don't think it was a stupid question - just one that really doesn't have an easy answer.

Actually, in my opinion, one of the best things to do is regularly check in the Talkin' Tropics forum - there's always discussion of potential areas of development there.

For examply around the costa rica / panama area there seems to be a lot of activity today (covering a significant area)

I guess it is obvious for the experienced eye that this won't develop into a td and therefor not very interesting.

Actually, while that kind of activity is quite common in that area and generally doesn't lead to development, in this case this may be related to what a number of models are indicating early next week.
