that center looks almost eyeish to me? or am I seeing things?
No you are not seeing things, that most definitely looks like an eye!
You guys are kidding right? Please tell me you know this is not Chris.
That's Chris. Check for yourself on NHC site.

Looking a bit better than an hour or two ago,the W/NW side of the storm was looking a bit bad earlier (probably due to the dry air or slight shear) Won't go and say it's much better than it was earlier.. But it's not looking bad or sickly.Just needs to hang on a bit longer and it should head into higher moisture and warmer SST areas..Looking pretty on vis though

Are you saying that this TC is not Chris? Because that looks like Chris to me.

PTrackerLA wrote:As much as we all wish we could, trying to pick a spot on the gulf coast where Chris will hit is just a crap shoot at this point. The storm hasn't even passed Puerto Rico yet!!! It's going to be an agonizing wait until this weekend when we get a better idea of where it's going. The Mexican scenario is a definite possibility however I think there's greater odds of Chris hitting the US whether it be south Florida or along the gulf coast.
It's quite amazing how much more speculation and concern goes along with these storms now than say 5 years ago. We can certainly thank the past two years for making all of us a little jumpy, but there's still plenty of time to figure out where he's going so everyone take a deep breath.
Interestingly if you look at the historical chart of all August Tropical Storms within 200 miles of Chris; NONE have crossed into the GOM.
(I don't know how to bring in the picture but saw it on Weather Underground under "Historical Tracks")
So, will Chris make history?
Die like the models were saying?
Turn north defying all logic???
