yeah it is weird. The visible shot shows no SW motion with Chris, yet the IR looks like it has shifted south. I guess we will just see where this is in a few hrs.

I think its due to an eye feature trying to form, although it should be a few hours before it actually means anything in terms of strengthening

The convection is picking up a little and the winds will likely follow suit but in time for an upgrade at 11PM.

After reviewing it a few times I think the center is still moving WNW, but shear is causing the convection to be blown southward. Once Chris reaches lesser shear to it's west it should strengthen.

The flight path heading is a lot more NW/WNW now, so I think they're about to start heading toward the center.

Nah, don't shut up... just don't bash the pro mets. Nobody on this board has the right, IMO, to call out the pro mets. They worked VERY hard to get to where they are at and us amateurs should respect them, not bash them.

While I agree, no one has the right to BASH anyone. Sorry..
There are ways of saying someone is wrong or incorrect in a nice and unoffending manner.
Amateurs and young people here are the next generation of pro mets so don't put us down either.

while we can disagree about what this crazy huurricane is doing, we need to sit back and THANK every single pro met on this board for the time they put in, for US. They do it on their own and ask nothing in return. The least we can do is show them respect.,and tell them THANKYOU often.!!!!!! :notworthy:

I didn't mean it negatively, just with the plane in there, the readings are more accurate then Dvorak..plus recon is flying back towards the center...
