can I give you a word of advice KFDM, NEVER count out a storm till NHC says so, I personally believe that they should have downgraded to a TD.

If you don't want to do your informative duty as a met and inform viewers what is out there, then just don't even mention it at all... but NEVER, NEVER make up what a storm is for NHC! or else you won't be a met for very long.

Just like Joe B said, we need to move on to the next system in line.

may be, may be not, but as of this moment the system is still a TS and the NHC still gives this a chance to regenerate in a few days. Based on this, and the fact the track takes the system toward TX, I think no one should write off Chris until the LLC has completely collapsed.

even if it collapse, why won't it reorganize later? Won't conditions be ripe?

Ifs ands, and buts are just crackers and nuts. Anything is possible, but reasonable forecasts are calling for dissapation and noone is forecasting restrengthening (sans AccuX). They leave that door open, but most lean towards dissapation. LLC do not last long w/o convection. It could bomb into a hurricane in 24 hours, but not likely.

exactly. I am amazed to see this many people write off Chris (including pro mets). The NHC itself is saying this has a chance, and based on visible and recon it is clear this system is holding it's own. I don't think Chris will just disappear anytime soon. Just think, many on here thought the wave that became Chris would go POOF, and look what happened.

It still could happen but we would be shocked. Hasn't happened to many time before on a situation like this.
