Why want they tap that SE quad? Any other time they will hit it first.

Unless they find some strong winds 40+ Knots in the SE quad later, I think we are monitoring TD Chris. In my opinion they will discount that 53 Knot Thunderstorm wind. Who knows because thats the only convection they have been through. They have sampled every quad but the one with convection in it. JMHO

Gotten there...Forget the E storm of 2003 that was Ericka in she was a hurricane. It was the E storm of 2002 when it made landfall in florida I was thinking about.

Wow what kind of box fan was that? I have never seen one with that much wind speed output. 75 MPH WOW! J/k Bordum took over with sarcasm

No. They have not even got to the convection yet.

However, look at this a 1Knot wind 20 miles west of the center. What does that translate to the surface?

I think they will down grade it I would. That 53 knots was found in a thunderstorm which is likely being blow to heck right now. But lets get some data out of that east and southeast quad first. So we can make sure.

Im guessing the 001 in that line is the wind speed and the 01638 is the distance? (like 16.38NM)
