I just read the discussion. TPC is basing it on a reanalysis of the QS pass from this morning, which showed winds 40kt to 45kts.

it took me about 3 seconds to analyze this morning's QS pass and see the purple 40kt barbs. How much reanalysis can you do on these images? ;-)
