2 hours?

About that. Local mets say the elongation has really increased the winds in Charlotte county. Ah well. Nice chatting with you guys, we're going to lose the net and power soon.

I'll be out right behind ya I'm sure. Already had a flicker here and the winds and rain are picking up nicely.

Good luck to all you guys down south. You're really going to get spanked bad. This sucker looks like she might peak out above 125 before landfall.

And there isn't much to weaken it landmass wise between Naples and Miami.

If this hits Miami with cat3 winds then this could reach Katrina in dollars.

Mark Sudduth was just out there got a 82 mph wind gust and storm surge is starting to roll in waves 6 feet

How do u know this?
Got Hurricane Live Net he has webcams setup in Everglade City Naples and Marco Island . Things are going downhill now fast . He is riding in his suv with some buds. Mike Watkins had to leave them earlier today because he has family in Ft. Lauderdale or he would of been there too. Right now he is heading to Naples Beach. He just said the eye will be heading over the city of Naples. Alot of power outages with transformers and powerlines blowing up. Winds are steady 60 to hurricane force with higer gusts. He said Everglade City will be HAMMERED BIGTIME!!! Let u know more in a while oh and they did have a confirmed tornado by police dept in south of Naples area.

Mark Sudduth is a trip. He just said wher is these 125mph winds. He is in the eyewall now. It just came ashore. he is saying the speed of the storm coming in might have affected the surface winds. He said this not a cat 3 storm. He is in that dark black color that came onshore just a few mins ago. He said its swirley and aint doing much. Not like a real cat 3. He is thinking Marco Island is getting the worst.

The eye is moving to his south. The strongest winds are in the south side of eye Winds have actually been much weaker on the north side of the center according to recent recon reports.

Its picking up more now. Mark S. had to park it for awhile. The storm is nowhere near like it is down in Everglade City and Marco Island. Naples looks good so far NO STORM SURGE and MINOR damage. He just said Hurricane Charley was 10 times worse. This is a baby compared to him. The good thing the storm is moving so fast the intense part of the Hurricane will only last for 20 30 mins. That is good news for EVERYONE.

Yeah he figures the worst areas are further south meaning the Everglades and he couldnt be there. Not a good research storm.
