Rainband...i did not mean that in any way shape or form like that...i am FULLY AWARE of what they are going through...my comment was in no way related to what was going on there now...it was in relation to the type of music/songs that are being aired...
this board is sooo jumpy lately...my post was not related at all to the storm...i was obvously referring to the music...saying how the music there is wonderful...like i said i am fully aware of what they are going through..

TV coverage on U.S. Ivan hit day: lots on-scene or little?
Charley was, IMHO, under-reported as a day-of on-the-scene thing (possibly because it didn't hit where forecast and the intensity ramped up last minute). And many suggested that Frances was over-covered.
What do you expect in the way of media coverage in the U.S. (national) on the day(s) Ivan hits somewhere?
I'm thinking since this is SO powerful, AND #3, there's bound to be wall-to-wall coverage on at least a couple of cable channels. However, since it's so strong and may not hit on a weekend and may not hit where expected, that could curtail coverage.
Anyone?

Maybe...we'll see if there is sheer in the Gulf when it's there. It is entering weak steering patterns....

I'm going out for some "sudds"(Jamaica speak for beer I learned on the webcast last night) so if someone could take dictation and write down everything that is said regarding...as I write this: debris on S. Sound road already...the storm. Maybe this will become the official thread...S2K BREAK TIME!

Only a small storm would say that <lol>. Seriously, you'll notice that in the Pacific the super typhoons that reach tremendous winds and pressures are much larger size wise then most Atlantic storms. Gilbert was an amazingly large storm encommpassing all of the western caribbean at one point. I don't think this storm can get anywhere close to as large.
