Tropical Storm Jimena (10E) has really weakened as it skirts south of the Big Island. On IR satellite, over organization appears very poor. Maybe I've been looking at Fabian too long. In either case, it looks like Hawaii lucked out. Current position of Jimena is 17.4N 154.7W, or 120NM south of Hilo, Hawaii. Winds are 60g75kt.
Hurricane Watch for Hawaii has been cancelled. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect. Flash Flood Watch is also in effect, along with a High Surf Warning for the east and southeast shores.
