I saw a computer model that takes it southeast in about 48 to 72 hours?

Fish spinner or not, it's real cool to see a named storm in April. That's not something you see every decade much less every year. So for everyone waiting until May to get your predictions out (like me), we're going to have to knock it up at least 1.

Ana has probably been tropical since yesterday afternoon when deep convection began wrapping. The NHC was just slow to declare it as such, and I don't blame them with the little amount of data available on the storm.

Ana is now the first Atlantic tropical storm ever recorded to form in the month of April.

All that I can say is STUNNED!!!! Mother Nature has thrown out a curve ball once again. Goes with thought that she does not follow any guidelines that we humans set up. I have always looked for the oddity of each tropical season and who would of thunk it that the first named system of season 2003 would more than likely be that oddity. Paul

The only April storm I found in my database was Sub-trop1 in 1992. No tropical storms at all.
