What a mess  honestly, this was better yesterday

this cyclone might still be able to take some walls and roofs around here, as we have almost no preparation for a cyclone, even if it is a weak one

Yakecan circulation along with cold air is causing snow now at night in some mountain towns in southern Brazil

The low level structure and convection pattern looks more sub-tropical. It is shallow but it is closer to namable.

Yakecan is now traversing a tongue of slightly warmer 23-24°C waters. These conditions, combined with low deep-layer wind shear and cold air aloft from the storm's position within an upper-level trough have allowed Yakecan to acquire organized deep convection. A prominent curved band has developed and the GOES lightning mapper has detected a few lightning strikes in the central convection. The HY-2B scatterometer indicated winds of about 40 kt at around 08:30 UTC, though the storm's wind field is lopsided due to its placement in a broad cyclonic gyre, with the strongest winds located to the northwest. Further intensification is possible in the coming days.

What a beauty of a system tbh. We get one or two STs in the year down here but they don't look as good as Yakecan does :P
