It's ok to mention the interference and anything that is strictly newsworthy, but keep your political opinions to yourself. No snide comments. This is a weather forum and political comments will only disrupt and divide members when we should be focusing on the tropics.

So far we've avoided most climate change discussion due to the fact it almost always gets heated, and fast.

Not everything is overtly political.

In my personal opinion the point of 'no political posts' is to avoid topics that tend to get users arguing with each other and their opinions rather than a healthy discussion of a topic. No argumentative posts allowed is probably a more accurate statement, though anything overtly political should be avoided.

This topic was started about one event that happened years ago so I think it's time to lock it up.
