Oh boy, this could be a long thread if those model runs are right.

Definitely an interesting wave for June. Probably will see Bonnie out of this but I think it's too early to see something crazy. Not a great sign of things to come though if the waves are already this good.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Hoping it's not a memorable storm.

Wow, went from an AOI to an invest in less than 24 hours.

This might be another early, strong MDR Bonnie. Or an Elsa repeat. I’m skeptical that it’ll go nuts.

Edit: just saw that SHIPS output :double:

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Well that was fast...

This is going to be an interesting thread imho.

Where did you see the SHIPS output, not seeing it on the sites I typically use.

EDIT: Found it at https://ftp.nhc.noaa.gov/atcf/stext/220 ... _ships.txt

I would love for it come into the into TX/LA as a weak storm/depression so we can get some rain where places need it. It hasn't rained in most places in Arkansas in a month. Unfortunately is it does come into the Gulf coast it will probably not be weak with how warm the Gulf is right now.

It's jaw-dropping for JUNE

It has everything - low shear, 28C SSTs and decent moisture

A little elongated but 90% of the way to being closed. I wouldn't be shocked to see a depression within the next 24-36 hours.

If those models verify then I’m worried about what peak season could bring.
