New Show Coming Soon on FX: "Black. White."

I have seen advertisements on TV for a new show on FX that premieres a week from Wednesday and 10/9c. The premise of the show is that they take a real black family and a real white family and, through various makeup techniques, switch their races. The families, one from Santa Monica, the other from Atlanta, move in with each other and proceed to 'act as undercover race detectives' (as MSNBC puts it) for six weeks in Southern California. The producers of the show say the goal is not to make any specific conclusions about racism but to expose its many subtleties. “I didn’t realize, more than anything, how hard it was going to be for whites and blacks to see the world through each other’s eyes,” said executive producer R.J. Cutler. “I didn’t realize how genuinely different an experience it is to be a white American and a black American.”

Anyone else as interested in this six-episode series as I am?
