Types of jobs Atmospheric Science and Hydrology major.

#1 Postby MikeSk6 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 12:55 am

I am currently a junior at a major university in california working on a dual major in Atmospheric Science and Hydrology. I find my self enjoying both of these subjects.

However I am starting to worrie that finding a job with these two majors will be difficult. Since there are a lot of people who work in this field, what can you tell me about the job market.

It sucks unless you have a Masters or better. Especially if you want to go into NOAA or NWS.

I am also thinking about going for a doctorate or Masters degree in Atmospheric Science. Which do you think would be best.

The more education the better. A Masters is good, but a Doctorate is definitely best.
