A little bird told me that you are one year older and wiser. Is this true??? If so, I've made you a wonderful cybercake. It can be any flavor you want. Oh you want pie? Well that can be arranged too.

If your day is filled with 1/2 of the amount of happiness that you bring to so many here, I know it will be wonderful.

Oh indeedy it is his special day!!

Hurry and come skyman and have the first slice of cake, not proper to eat a piece of cake until the birthday fella has his....I'll try and be patient and wait til you have yours first....but that double chocolate cake with chocolate icing is soooooooo tempting!!

Well now...I feel SOOOO special!

MMMMMMmmmmm good! I had the first piece of cybercalorielessdoublechocolatecakewithextraicing! Now you can DIG IN!

While I'm eating the cake, my granddaughter Emma just called to sing happy birthday in my ear! She doesn't even talk yet...but I know that silence was in the sound of HAPPY BIRTHDAY Poppy!

And thanks again for the warm words, too.

And yes, wisdom accumulates like vacation time. You stick around long enough and you have so much you can't begin to use it all. And everyone expects you to be at work every day.

But when you ask to be paid for it instead of given time off, you're told, "Ha! Are you kidding? We don't pay employees for being here when they should be taking time off!"

Ahhhh...the circle of life.

No candles on this year's cake. I would have had to get a permit from the city of Scottsdale.

Let it be known, however, that there were more bright spots in my day than there would have been candles anyway....thanks to you!
