Teacher of the Year

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Mon Sep 11, 2006 8:14 pm

My first cousin was named by Walmart as Mississippi's teacher of the year. The entire family is very proud of her. She teaches deaf children and has taught me sign language over the years. Sissy lost her home to Katrina. She has had to endure so much in the past year.

How proud you must be of such a truly dedicated teacher and wonderful person. As my Granny would have said - "You come from good stock!" Give her a ((HUG)) from all of us and tell her thanks for sharing her gifts.

Thanks everybody. Yes, we are proud of her. If you noticed, even when she is not speaking to a deaf child she still uses her hands. lol. She knows she is doing it though!
