Cypress Gardens
Two days ago I went to Cypress Gardens and boy have they changed! The rides were awesome, loved the shows, and their water park is superb. Yet, alot of people still don't go there and many think it is still boring and might even close. Feel free to comment if you have been to the park before.

Yep we went last Halloween. Hubby, two 7 year olds and me. We loved it. We got there when it opened and you could count the cars in the parking lot on your hands. No one around. So the kids got to ride the rides over and over, sometimes without even getting off. It was the Halloween thing so it was open till 11 I think it was and they had some cool things going for it as well. People didn't start showing up till around dark, they were all coming for the Halloween haunted houses and they didn't open till then.
Well I liked somethings they had, but some of the things I remeber from a child has gone to he!!. They don't have the Southern Bells sitting around the gardens like they used to, we only saw 1 all day and that was when we went through the front gates. Also the ski show was not good at all, not as good as it used to be back in the day. And the water park was not open yet.
That was a bummer, we would have liked to have gone but it was chilly that day anyways. It was a bit run down from what I noticed. They are going to have to put more money into the park if they are going to keep it open. I did like the fact they added all the rides for the kids though. And thought the ice skating show was awesome. If it was closer we would go back for sure. But since its so far away we may not go back for a while. But we definitly enjoyed ourselves that day.

I feel so bad though, because Cypress Gardens still is in Bankruptcy and I wish people would come so they could experience Florida's first Theme Park. Luckily they bought the Starliner from Miracle Strip Amusement Park so hopefully that will boost attendance.
Here's a picture of Starliner and it is about 4 times as big as the triple hurricane!

I think that one was there when we went. None of their coasters are over the top. My kids at age 7 could ride every single one of them. The best thing I thought they had was the Thunder Bolt that takes you to 120 feet and then drops you.
Also the Yo-Yo made me laugh so hard. I don't know why but it really got me going. That was just old fashion fun.
