Pakistani Reporter Concerned About Laughing Hijackers Video

#1 Postby canegrl04 » Sun Oct 01, 2006 10:36 pm

Just heard the news on the radio from a FOX affiliate at the top of the hour that the Pakistani reporter who recently interviewed an Al qaeda leader fears that the new video of the 9/11 terrorists is a signal to those in the US that its time for another attack :( A couple of weeks ago,it was revealed that in his interview, the Al Qaeda member told him another attack was coming in America and that it would happen soon after another message was released(video) .I hope this is not true

If it is, we'll either prevent it or suffer it. Like crime, terrorism is here to stay, and it can only be diminished, not destroyed. At least in a democracy which trades with the world on a global basis. We can only hope for the best, and criticize our government for its failings.

Well whether there is another attack or not, we should not be living our lives in fear. If National Security/Homeland Security plans are in place we will find out really how secure our country is.

I think it is important not to live in fear of terrorism.

One should never be afraid of statistical improbabilities, they should live their lives based on rational risk assessment. Hate the terrorists? Sure. Fear them? No way.

Most know how I feel we should respond if there is ever a WMD attack on our country... and it does not involve just targeting the terrorist group or the country that harbors them.

It would have to be Medina and Mecca and our government should clearly state this. Yes, this will inflame the Muslim world... but even the Pope quoting someone from the 14th century tends to inflame the Muslim world!. They get all bent out of shape and threaten violenece at the mere criticism of their religion, that leads me to dismiss any fears of inflaming them if we take the ultimate reprisal... any reprisal will cause inflamation

We should not live our lives in fear either. Go out and succeed... rub it in their faces that they will never bring us down

I don't think they'll pull of anything during Ra-dama-ding-dong; they'll wait until Aid-al-Finger to have something to "celebrate".
