Poisoned Dog..

#1 Postby Aquawind » Tue Jan 02, 2007 4:24 pm

Jan 02, 2007 - 55-year old Charmaine Twarozek is accused of trying to kill a neighbor's dog with poisoned meatballs. Police say Twarozek placed seven meatballs filled with rat poisoning along the fence that divides her yard from the Andersons' yard. The German Shepherd mix, Roscoe, carried one of the meatballs filled with aqua pellets into the garage Friday night.

The say Twarozek had previously complained about the dog's barking, but they were shocked that she would try to kill Roscoe. Cheektowaga Police found a receipt for rat poisoning, a frying pan, and raw meat in Twarozek's garbage.

The Andersons say if Roscoe swallowed one of the meatballs symptoms could appear any day. Roscoe will continue to take preventative medicine for about a week. Then, blood tests will tell if he suffered any permanent damage. Twarozek is charged with Animal Cruelty, a misdameanor.

I saw this story on TV last night on a channel near Buffalo New York. I think they said they also found the items for making the meatballs in her garbage too.

This story is in line with so many of this type of crime. I agree Paul, this should be a felony. A crew of us in Mississippi are trying to get the laws changed because of a little dog named Buddy. The bill will be introduced as "Buddy's Law"

This type of crime the lady should be made to undergo psycho analysis. If the dog was a nuisance for barking then the police should have been called. If we as humans take the law into our own hands we would be arrested. Animals are innocent period!

Right Linda. Dogs bark because that is what dogs do. Thats their way of talking. And id rather hear a dog bark than an ignorant human speak.

In Arizona, that IS a felony....you stand a BETTER chance of attempted murder of a human than you do any kind of animal...this is but ONE reason why I love Arizona so much, we ARE animal/pet friendly 8-)

George....*HIGH FIVES*, AMEN brother, I too PREFER the company of my dogs over ANYONE (well, my wife is the exception of course :ggreen: )!! Dogs DON'T lie, don't steal, don't TALK BACK, don't NAG :ggreen: Just give 'em food 2x's a day and water and they'll love ya FOREVER!

someone did that to my dog earlier in the year... so I think... I cant prove anything, but all i know is that she was dead in the middle of the yard.... she was an 8 year old pomeranian... the neighbors complained of her barking at night ... she wasnt a barker, only when she heard something... I cant prove anything, but I know what I feel....
