Ya know, I don't understand people (yes, I've seen men in this position too) that are in these kinds of relationships....they are beat down, brow beat so much that they DO actually think it's their fault. I can't tell you HOW many domestic violence calls I've responded to and we try and talk till we're blue in the face to try and get this people to leave/file a order of protection and they refuse!

The only hope is prayer and the hopes that she will someday wake up and realize that she is worthy of good man, a loving man, someone who will worship the ground she walks on.

I'm sorry that I didn't see this until now. I'm glad that she has been found and she is well.

I echo what Dennis said and until your daughter gets the nerve to move on and away, there really isn't much that you can do. She has to stand up for herself and believe in herself.

Has she had any history of depression by any chance? I'm just asking due to my own experience with it. Someone with EXTREMELY low self esteem is probably depressed and doesn't have the strength or the confidence to say adios to an abuser.

Alice, I am so sorry your family is having to go through this! Sending prayers that the very best situation there can be for this family(and yours of course)is what the end result of this episode is. Like above, I can't even begin to state how I feel about LOSERS like him or I would have to permanently ban myself.
