The internet service is great but considering our tv stays on Cartoon Network 24/7, I am paying waaay too much money. I have thought about going to satellite to save $$. Comcast is really bashing sattelite TV here in every other commercial you see. The area I am in is a small town and it's pretty rural even 3 miles from me, so satellite dishes are killing cable. For those that have satellite...is there really that much distortion on rainy/snowy/windy days? Do you really have to adjust your dish every other day?
I've got a dish, and no, I haven't adjusted my dishes since They were installed. It takes
very heavy rain to block the signal. You have to have a clear line of sight to the stationary satellite. So very heavy rain can block it. Also, if you have tall trees to your SW, the installation can be a hassle. (and wind could come into play with the swaying trees)
But I enjoy it. I was skeptical that satellite would provide a clearer picture..... Wrong!..... Very noticeable difference, at least to me.
