I don't watch Lost. I'm usually on the net every night surfing. ;)

It looks like the season is starting to heat up now.

I'm a Lost fanatic!!! While I loved the Season 3 finale (twist that it was, did not see the flashforward coming, not at all, clever writing idea!) the Season 4 finale was good but somewhat sad though. You know the Oceanic 6 get off the island but have to leave so many behind. I just cried worrying about Jin. Sun's anguished cries broke my heart! We knew she went back to civilization without him but you want him on that helicopter. Loved Des and Penny's reunion. Worried some more her father was going to swoop down and separate them again. So glad this couple at least has a happy ending. All in all, not surprised it was Locke in the coffin either. And by now I'm not a Ben fan, not by a long shot, but he does have classic, Lost-like lines. Michael Emerson delivers them with such deadpan calm, in the midst of chaos too. I think he deserves an Emmy. I'm always taken back to his comment to Hurley - "oh we're the good guys!", after Hurley asked - who are you people? LOL The good guys......some good guys huh?

We had a Lost thread going for a while. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Here ya go....

Hi Dennis and everyone! Sorry I've been a little "lost" myself in recent months. But I've thought of you often.

We've moved - AGAIN! Now in Louisville. I started working again after 15 years as a Domestic Goddess. Trying to balance what little time I seem to have, as well as feeding my hungry weather habit.

So happy to see the usual suspects here, and hope everyone is exceptionally well!

Speaking of Lost ... I've never seen it until a coworker recently loaned me seasons 1 & 2. HOOKED!! I'm in the middle of season 2 currently, so I didn't read most of your post, Mary, for fear of spoilers. :)

Love to all!

Donna - it's wonderful to see you! Louisville huh? That's close to me! My daughter interned near there last summer and found a cool area to shop at - the Highlands area? Sort of an eclectic shop area. She also liked the downtown area where several streets are closed to traffic and there's an open air feeling by building sky lit covered areas to walk under. She says I need to see it and we should do something like that here. Not sure what's she talking about but I'm sure you've discovered the downtown area by now!

Working after being home for years and years isn't so bad. You get used to it. But one thing my family hasn't become accustomed to is that I am working. They like my paycheck but still think of me as a SAHM. So watch for that! LOL

Okay, back on topic.....

Now Dennis, all this kicking might be aggravating the bum foot!

All kidding aside, I'd be in agreement with you, I'd wish I hadn't had the darn surgery in the first place. I have a major beef with surgeons - they are sometimes cut-happy and are lousy at the post-op part of surgery. They think surgery is the cure-all. Yeah, right.....

My mom had a glass shelf fall on her knee at TJ Maxx a few years ago. With several items on the shelf fall too. The knee swelled, she needed an x-ray. Long story short, the Ortho she went to suggested major surgery. My mom is now 83. Do the math, she was over 80 when he suggested surgery. I asked my mom what her post-op instructions would be. She had NO IDEA! The nurse hadn't even gone over any post-op care. I strongly suggested she ask what her specific instructions would be. Oh let's see, no stairs, no lifting, 6 weeks of intense physical therapy. I quickly called her Primary doc, he had no idea major surgery was even on the calendar (yes it was scheduled). Another long story short, the Primary doctor talked with the Ortho guy, between the two of them they concluded that surgery in someone younger with this injury would be recommended, it wasn't in someone my mother's age (who is feeble now, unsteady on her feet and very overweight). She began physical therapy to strengthen the knee. It took a long time, over a year but now it's pain free.

Without surgery!

I have more examples but that's all I'll share for now.

Get second opinions folks!

Dennis - I am hoping in your case, as in my mom's, time will heal your hurts.

Sorry about the foot Dennis.

Lost...I hope Jin and Michael are still alive. There is so much uncertainty. Its interesting that Locke was in the coffin...although slightly anti-climactic. I kind of new it would be him, but didn't want it to be that way I guess.

Here's to another season!

JQ - I hope they're alive as well.

I had a sneaky suspicion that Charlie would be alive at the end of last season. I wasn't ready to believe he had died. Guess I was wrong though.......:-(

Sometimes it's a good thing when a Lost character dies (Ana Lucia for example, or the two they brought to the forefront 2 seasons ago, Nikki and Paulo (yawn)) but most of the time, you're so sad when it's someone we've invested time with!) I do think it's a safe bet to assume there's a happy reunion between Sun, the baby and then Jin, when the show finally concludes. Michael and Walt - not so much. The actor who played Michael was very critical of the show and its writers (unlike the actors playing Jin and Charlie, which is why I hoped Charlie would have somehow swam to safety but was held against his will by some of Ben's men)....but I do suspect the Lost writers know fans want a happy ending for Sun. It will come, I think.
