It's time...

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Sat Aug 23, 2008 2:55 pm

Those of you who've known me since S2K was started (and before) will understand...

I'll be moving up to live with my sister in St. Charles County MO on September 3rd; my wfie and I will be splitting up, and she's moving to a large rented house with her daughterr, daughter's fiancee, and her two kids.

I've seen this coming for a LONG time, ladies and gentlemen, so I'm surprised that the separation is being handled with civility and care from both of us.

I may be back online from the new place soon...watch for me. And Annabelle (she be a ho') who is joining me.

I wish you well Bill as these new changes in your life (and your children's as well) go as smoothly as possible. My own parents split when I was 17 and it was a bitter, bitter divorce. To this day my mother still bad mouths my father, if she can get away with it and he's been gone for over 20 years now (and out of her life for 33!). I've always admired divorced parents who can keep it civil and focus on their children. Even if the children are adults (as in my case). I've always said too that in my parents case, their split was a good thing because apart they were such happier people. So again, my best to you and yours. Keep in touch with us Bill.

Our journey is not always an easy one, Bill. While I haven't done my share to carry you across the difficult times, I have always, ALWAYS, been there beside you. You know that.

I hope that out of the new environment will come more sunshine, a better opportunity for the health care you need, and the promise that new hope can bring.

...and you know, I will continue there beside you each step of the way.

As will others from here at S2k who remember the early days.

Be safe. Annabelle (she be the ho) is counting on you.

How's Coppertop holding up? He's away at college now isn't he?

Yes, Annabelle (she be a ho') is going with me, and Coppertop is attending his first college class...he's looking into becoming a computer repairman/web designer, troubleshooter, etc.

I should have discerned this ten years back, when all my wife and I talked about was (a) the week's groceries, (b) Coppertop's grades, and (c) Annabelle (she be a ho'). Imagine living all that time, having nothing more to say to one another...

Well, you know none of us really understand what the rest of us go through each day. Try as we may, we sometimes don't understand. So don't beat yourself up Bill, you did the best you could. And now I pray for just peace and happiness for you. I'm so glad Annabelle is going with YOU. That's a comfort, how well I know......as Steve pointed out so nicely I might add, many of us go way back and remember how much you've struggled. We are definitely here for you. Please take care....

Fondly,
Mary

My stay with Jan will be more like "hospice care"...not much more to do than see that I'm comfortable.

Your sister has been always there for you, Bill. I'm glad that you'll still be with family and in a more stable environment.

I hope it's BETTER...the present environment is as close to a stable as I'd care to mention.

It's as stable as you are used to. I have no doubt that it will be better, my friend. Your sister is a good woman.
