This thread is all about what we at WxChat.com can do to make our site better. What we need to do to get peeps to post more. What wxchat can offer to other peeps that no other board offers and yet what we can do to get other peeps to other sites such as S2k. If you read my post (long one page 2) you will see what my vision is of the site.
I want to utilize the affiliates even more than we have and would love for our affiliates/friends to do the same.
Some changes coming to Wxchat are the school will no longer be a password protected forum. ITS GOING TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. You will have to choice to sign up and go through the course or just follow along at your own pace.
I am also going to be adding not just some weather maps and such but links that will help you MAKE YOUR OWN FORECAST as well as bring in some good discussion on forecasting with models/ upper air and such.
If you are a Met and have some great links to offer that I can add to the resource list then please feel free to do so. Also I would love to get more mets on my staff. Currently I have 3 aviation Mets (including myself) and I feel the more professionals that we can offer the better the learning curve will be (more peeps to help the others out with their questions) My vision of wxchat.com is a place where one can come and learn about how to forecast/observe the weather and its effects.
Also I mentioned that when it comes to Tropical weather that I may have a few items on my page about it but will offer the services of S2k for the most part..since you peeps are the professionals on that matter
So please if you have some time read up on the changes that wxchat.com will be going through and you all are also welcome to come along for the ride. I feel that for all of us to grow and learn we need to tap into each others resources.
Its a great honor and privilege to be associated with S2k!
