Will it germinated without afternoon rains? What is the best seed to get for sunny areas? Up north we had spring and fall, August 15-September 15th. Thanks for the input.

Not much help for Florida, but Arizonans plant winter grass (usually a heavy rye mix) in mid-October through November. It greens up nicely by mid November. The summer grass (bermuda in many cases) goes dormant about the same time.

I hear ya.. I threw some seed out this last week ..as it has been fairly cloudy and thus cooler. Hoping it will pop and survive the brutal full sun blast. I thought I saw some babies this evening.. 8-)
