AUBURN, Calif. (Court TV) — There were no job openings at a check-cashing business, but the resume of Christopher John Hansen was left behind anyway.
Hansen was allegedly robbing the Advance America check cashing store late last month, when he dropped his resume and day planner, according to police.
Wanted for armed robbery, assault and false imprisonment, Hansen, 36, is still at large.
The suspect allegedly called Advance America claiming to work for the building's property manager and informed the business that a repairman would be coming to work on the heating and air conditioning system, according to the sheriff's department.
Several hours later, the "repairman," believed to be Hansen, arrived without raising suspicion, according to police.
About an hour later, Hansen allegedly asked the only clerk left in the store to help him find some papers. He followed the 23-year-old female clerk to the back of the store where he reportedly held a sharp instrument to her throat, police reported.
The suspect then allegedly locked the doors, put duct tape over the clerk's mouth, bound her hand to a bathroom rail and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police reported.
The clerk, who was not harmed, was able to free herself and call police. She picked Hansen out of a photo lineup, police said. While investigating the scene, sheriff's deputies found the day planner with Hansen's resume inside.
Hansen is believed to be driving a tan 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
