This is a cute story. I talked to my brother-in-law's wife last night. They live in El Cajon and are so far safe from fire. My brother-in-law is a San Diego County Firefighter, he left on Sunday morning to battle the fire in Scripps Ranch. He has two children age 5 and 2. Well, as Tuesday night came the kids haven't seen their father in four days and they knew he was out fightin' fires. So Tuesday night his engine group of four we're finally sent from the frontlines to a type of firefighter base near his home to get one night of decent food and rest. Well, turns out there were no more sleeping spots available at the base. So my brother calls his wife and says...Hon, I'm bringing the fire truck and i'm bringing the guys home for the night! Well, she tells the kids that dad's coming home tonight in his FIRE TRUCK with his friends and you can imagine how ecstatic they are! They've only ever seen dad's fire truck sitting in the bay of the fire station. So can you image these two little children standing on the sidewalk watching dad and his buddies come driving down the street in his big firetruck to spend the night with them! How precious :22:

They all had a fun night together and the next morning they were off again to fight some more fires. After all, they're firemen that's what they do.

Dennis.....you are soooooooo right....miracles DO happen..don't be so hard on yourself...when you are in the thick of things you just go with the moment.....I hope and pray that the fact that it is unconfirmed as to the state of her house is the beginning of seeing a miracle happening!!

Keep the faith!!

Oh and I hope you don't mind but I've asked some of our other weather friends at the original PBS to keep you and Steve covered in prayer....some of them are not able to access this particular web site..but they still care about what happens to dear weather friends, know that prayers are being said from them as well :D

Blessings, Raine
