At least 40 Iraqis have been killed in an attack by US troops.

The Madrid bombers were planning a second attack, for Easter Sunday.

Fox news is reporting that some western reporters may have been taken hostage in Iraq. (If you saw the Daniel Pearl video as I did, you gotta cringe at that news.)

This is getting out of hand! We need to make a big statement NOW, if we are going to get a handle on the situation AND give control over the Iraqis June 30. There is no way, IMHO, that this deadline should stand. I don't want us over there, but we started something that we need to finish. I just hope there's a bolder plan coming soon. We can't let this drag out.

I believe in the strength and the awesome power of our marines, but I think we need to bring in air strikes and whatever else is necessary to bring this latest outburst to a close. :wink:

— Senior defense officials told Fox News of at least two incidents in which Western reporters were kidnapped in two separate cities in Iraq. As of this hour, officials said only two journalists and two security guards had been released and were driving back to Baghdad.

last night they were calling in Helicopter gunships and AC-130's which should be all of the air support they need unless it becomes necessary to drop a MOAB to level the whole town.

I believe we need to make a clean sweep over there and get rid of the radicals and extremists once and for all. Enough already.
