You know, if Dr. Laura and the Promise Keepers got together and wrote a how-to book for couples, they might sell one or two dozen...million.

I wouldn't call her controversial. Big deal...so she said something about gays that not everyone agrees about and she said something about a kid with Tourette's. She's not exactly a shock jock so I don't know why anyone makes a big to-do about her. She gives pretty good advice, from what I've heard the few times I've listened. I don't know where I could hear here during the day here in Galveston (or online). But I listened while I was driving during the holidays.

Cool...thanks! And I think KLBJ is online. I'll have to check.

Can't get many radio stations (or cell phone calls) within the thick, hurricane force wind-resistant walls of this hospital. So online is the way to go. :)

It can still be new after 30 years. Take my word for it. :D

And the key to it all is the "art of compromise" It outweights love, sex and many other aspects of marriage.

33 years last February for us! She looks as beautiful as ever (she has a great birthdate, right David?) while I just, well I just get wiser.

I think back to the years we tried to change each other...we each thought "if only he (or she) didn't do that, we'd be so much happier!"

Truth is, as the years went by and we gave each other more space, not less, the trust grew and so did our appreciation for each other.

Besides, whenever I handed my wife a broom, she came after me with it and planted it squarely on my rear end.

But I found turnabout to be fair play.

When she handed me the plunger....
