Question...

#1 Postby Guest » Mon Mar 17, 2003 11:02 am

I am not the most acknowledgeable person on world affairs - but I try to keep up ...My question is...

Does anyone think that there will be any nation that will come to the aid of IRAQ and help them fight in the war against USA?

Comments welcome.

No Islamic state will come in AS such, but Iraq is accepting "volunteers" who are Arabs, Egyptians, Palestinians, Syrians, Iranians, Afghans, etc...the number is estimated to be 10,000 of these "mujaheddin" ("martyrs", who have already had their funerals, and therefore do not fear death) at this time. These volunteers are at the core of his "suicide fighters".

BTW, anyone else note that yesterday, Saddam paraded Iraqi troops in Baghdad wearing U.S.-pattern uniforms?

I have read articles about Sadamn has made all his uniforms like the United States - wish the military could do something about this and change theirs right before the battle.

Do you think this will have an effect on anything?

No country would come to his aid. The majority of the Islamic countries will be glad to have him gone. While they haven't been publicly supportive, they want him gone as bad as we do...

I should have mentioned that the "volunteers" are the Islamic equivalent of bar-room sweeps...on the other hand, there was a report on FoxNews that mentioned 70,000 Kurdish fighters...highly motivated, ready and willing INSIDE Iraq at this very moment to roll against Saddam, once we move.

Back in Nam they had these little clickers you'd hold in your hand to decipher if you were friend or foe. Its not like they will even get close to us in the 1st place, we know where we are all deployed in the battlefield to distinguish people dressed as us anyhow.
