CIA....friend or foe?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Wed Mar 19, 2003 5:31 pm

My wife was watching Oprah yesterday  I DON'T watch it, can't stand the show myself BUT.....she had a gentleman on yesterday, don't know who it was (see, I didn't even pay any attention LOL) Seriously, this gentleman said that the CIA TRAINED Ossama, gave him over 3 MILLION dollars to fight the Russians during the invasion of Afghanistan. There's NO telling how many other terrorist that the CIA has funded! We watch *The Agency* on Saturday nights on CBS.....I always thought that that show was WAYYYYY out in left field, guess not :o

I have a good friend named Paul down here in Roanoke Rapids who is retired from the CIA...with all due respect Bro...let's not go "stereotyping" all CIA employees present and past...there are some good guys too like Paul.

That's exactly right Eric  I've too have a friend who was once a CIA operative back in the late 60's, he's a GREAT friend, he is however, how you say, a *little touched*

We have NO IDEA what the CIA is capable of and/or are currently doing! I do know thing, look at Area 51 in the middle of the Nevada desert, we have NO IDEA what goes on there, you get within 10 miles of that area and you take your life into your own hands! I know when I was aboard the USS America CV-66, when they were moving nuclear weapons up the ordanince elevator, the detachment of Marines stationed aboard the ship ALONG with CIA operatives, they would SHOT you in a heart beat if you came within 50 feet of the elevator door, they lock and load their M-16's while the elevator is in motion.

He wasn't a terrorist then. Then he was just some rich kid trying to save afganistan from russian occupation and whatnot. So America gave them the weapons and such. This was kinda old news...but it just didn't get much press. We supplied Iraq with weapons and such as well as Iran (so the regular folks could overrule the big wigs). We can't predict the future...we should do what is right at the very second and trust that these people will not come back and bite us in the rear. For the most part Osama and such are the minority out of those we've helped.
