I am of English colonial background... you drink tea hot... with a saucer and in a teacup (not a mug) and by jove it is unthinkable to put ice in it! ;)

This may shock some coming from a born and bred southern boy, but I can't stand iced tea...haven't drank a half dozen glasses of iced tea in my life (I'm not much of a coffee drinker either).

If tea it is, I want it HOT...Earl Grey, please, served "Durbar"-style with cream, sugar and a cinnamon stick.

We go through a gallon a day at our house. My wife buys the industrial size bags of tea from Sam's.

To each is own. :D

'Zona SunTea

#14 Postby Arizwx » Sat Mar 29, 2003 7:51 am

We call it 'Zona Suntea...just put some spring water in a clear container, some of your favourite flavored tea bags, place in a sunny spot in your Jardin(Garden) with the Hummingbirds and let Ma Nature steep it for 3 hours.I add all natural Arizona Cactus Honeybee Honey to the brew and enjoy! When the temp hits 80F+ I add the Fresh Lime Ice ... a nice touch.

I have never acquired the taste for iced tea or coffee. I love to smell them both brewing though.

I have been drinking iced tea for several years (not so much when I was a teenager, as far as I remember) -- also prefer it without lemon. I've notice even when you don't ask for "lemon water" at some restaurants, they are putting a lemon on the rim of the glass, anyway.
